History of the Instrument
Born in 1944, Garner Wilson started his career as a bow maker at W.E. Hill & Sons, where he worked from 1960 to 1966. He then established his own workshop in Greenford, West London, before relocating to Bury St. Edmunds, Suffolk, in 1969. In 1989, Wilson moved to Dingwall in the Scottish Highlands, where he continued his craft. His bows are notable for a double concentric ring on the frog and the branding ‘Garner Wilson’.
